Slenos is also a “Copyright Collecting Company” reserved for Composers and Producers. Slenos protects their rights but it doesn't get its hands in their money.
In fact, if you wish, Slenos supports you in the distribution on the main music platforms but the related royalties come directly to you.
Until 2017, in Italy this service was managed by the SIAE under a monopoly regime. With the decrees law 35/2017 and 148/2017, the monopoly of the SIAE was abolished and the market opened up to new subjects.
Slenos, bred by Andrea Cesaretti . Wired magazine called him a "psychomarketing expert" and "doctor of the soul of the startups". DJ for over 40 years, he played (and still plays) in the most important Italian clubs. Startupper expert: at 16 he founded, together with a high school friend, the first private radio in Rimini (Radio Riviera). History repeats itself because in that distant 1976, a sentence of the Italian Constitutional Court had liberalized the market putting an end to the monopoly of state radio. After more than 40 years, a European ruling has put an end to the SIAE monopoly in the intermediation of copyright and so, after Radio Riviera (with many other things in between), Andrea founds Slenos.
